The History of KNM Services   

KNM originated in the early 1990's with the merger of like minded Insurance Advisers in Ingham. The purpose of the partnership at the time was to share ideas and provide greater efficiencies in servicing clients. The strength of this partnership was their ability to provide Business Insurance and Superannuation advice to accountancy practices and their clients in North Queensland. The growth of Self Managed Super Funds (SMSF) was starting to get under way during this time and being highly specialised in this field, KNM and a large number of accountancy practices were positioned locally to providing advice to servicing the needs of sophisticated businesses. As KNM grew, so too did the number of advisers. Throughout the nineties KNM acquired advisers businesses in Cairns, Townsville and regional areas throughout North Qld.

KNM Services Pty Limited was founded in 2000 with 13 original member businesses operating in North Queensland. The 13 founding shareholders comprised successful risk and superannuation businesses and select accounting practices. This amalgamation formed a substantial dealer group with a wealth of knowledge and invaluable industry experience.

In the past year there have been a number of initiatives introduced by the outgoing Government in relation to superannuation which is creating an enormous amount of interest. These sweeping changes provided opportunities for KNM to expand its services further to meet the growing needs of its 3,000 clients. In 2007, KNMforwealth was established as a sub-division of KNM Services. The Division is tailored to meet the needs of individuals and businesses that are seeking to maximise the benefits that they can achieve from the changes and to review the performance of their existing investment.

Today, KNM provides financial services through KNMforlife and KNMforwealth, to over 3,000 clients with offices in Brisbane, Mackay, Ingham and Cairns. KNM's high level of professionalism and the ability to provide its clients with the best strategies, advice and service has firmly built and reinforced KNM's profile and brand-name throughout Queensland. KNM is respected and highly regarded within the insurance industry and this has led to opportunities for a future presence south of the Queensland border. We will continue to grow expertise and enhance services by developing alliances, creating partnerships, and entering into joint ventures.
